Job Prep by Apna” is an AI-powered mobile feature designed to help job seekers practice interviews in a realistic, voice-based environment. The goal was to democratize interview prep — providing domain-specific, personalized feedback without needing real human mentors.

This feature sits within Apna’s broader jobs ecosystem, aimed at improving candidate preparedness, increasing confidence, and boosting conversion in real interviews.

⁉️ Problem Statement

Interviews are a high-stress, high-stakes process — and most job seekers, especially in Tier 2 and 3 cities, face these challenges:

  • Lack of exposure to real interviews

  • No structured or affordable feedback mechanisms

  • Low confidence in spoken English and articulation

  • Limited time and access to mentors or mock interviews

Most solutions in the market either use real humans (expensive, unscalable) or generic AI quizzes (non-contextual, poor feedback).
